Who wants the document? Children wishing to learn to cook simple things.
Who else will read it? Parents assisting their children.
What is the purpose of the document? To provide instruction to complete the desired task.
Why do people want the document? To learn and achieve a sense of accomplishment.
How will they use it?  As instruction to complete the desired task.
What is the primary audience’s technical background? Little to none.
The secondary audience’s?  Possibly the same as primary audience, probably greater level of proficiency.
How might cultural differences create misunderstanding? Instruction provided in US measurement, not metric measurement.  Would have to be recalibrated for metric.
What tasks must users accomplish successfully?  Reading, measuring, mixing, rolling, cutting, lifting, setting timer.
In what setting will the document be used?  In a kitchen.
Are there any possible hazards or sources of error?  Incorrect measuring or mixing may produce product which may be unpalatable, incorrect timing may produce product which is over or under done, lack of assistance by parent may cause child to be harmed by hot oven or pan.
What exactly does the audience need to know, and in what format? Types of measuring instruments, types of ingredients, how to measure, how to mix, oven safety.
How much is enough? Primary audience needs clear, simple instructions with visuals which can be easily understood and showing positive results.
When is the document due? No prescribed time, whenever it needs to be used.




Preheat oven to 500ยบ F.
Assemble Tools: 
                     

Large mixing bowl measuring spoons and cups, baking sheet, spatula, fork, biscuit cutter or glass.
Assemble Ingredients: 
           
Flour, sugar, baking soda, butter, salt, milk.
Mix 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt in large mixing bowl.  Cut 8 tablespoons (1 cube) butter into pieces, drop into flour mixture.  Using fork squish butter into flour mixture until butter pieces are no bigger than bb’s or peppercorns.  Make a well in the flour/butter mixture and pour in ½ cup milk.  Using fingers mix milk into flour/butter mixture until it comes together.  Turn out dough onto floured surface and gently pat to ¾ inch thickness.  Cut out biscuits with cutter or glass dipped in flour and place on baking sheet separating slightly.  Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown on top.  Enjoy!
